The access road is from the highway, after Estaleiro, it helps to keep a panoramic view of the bay of Ubatumirim, unmissable! The beach preserves characteristics of a fishermen village. It has centenary trees, light sand and tranquil waters. Kiosks and restaurants attract residents and tourists. The Alamada shrimp festival is famous and happens in July. Next, divided by a rock, it is the Engenho beach, a little emptier.
Beach with a compact sand and calm sea, with 3,5 km of length. The access is by a secondary road, that starts in the highway and takes you to the "Sede Administrativa do Núcleo Picinguaba"in the "Parque Estadual da Serra do Mar", an area of 47.000 hectares protected, that represents about 80% of the Ubatuba county. It is a heritage of humanity recognized by UNESCO, it is the only place in the São Paulo State coast where the coastal ecosystems are preserved such as beaches, mangoves, rocky shores and forest sandbanks. The access is by a secondary road that starts in the highway. The beach with white sand is in the shore of the Puruba River that comes down by the mangrove until the sea, making a very beautiful scenery. There are always boats, ready for crossing. There are ``caiçaras`` (local people) who preserve their traditions such as artisanal fishing, dances and religious festivals. At the village there are: church, school, houses, bars. It was the scenery of the movie ``Desmundo``.
Beach with a calm sea and with an extensive soft sand area, it is good for a walk and to know the rivers and streams that intersect and bring beauty to the mangroves. There are kiosks and rustic restaurants where the tourist can see an amazing view of the bay. It is allowed the cars` circulation.
BRAVA DA ALMADA
The access is by a trail, it starts in the Engenho Beach and you have to climb a hill. After 30 minutes in a moderate pace, you will arrive at a very beautiful beach with thick sand, strong waves and an untouched nature.
